Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) express the Organization’s vision and strategy in terms of metrics.
Dean Spitzer, author of ‘Transforming Performance Measurement’, said “In a high-performing organisation, measurement is everybody’s job”. Hence it is needed to choose KPIs that support all the functional areas of HR such as People, Processes, Communication, etc.
KPIs for employee performance need to be selected so that they best reveal whether their performance is improving, becoming poor or remaining the same. This will help in aligning individuals to the overall strategy of the organisation.
